Glory to the Brave pertenece a la lista de temas del álbum del mismo nombre del grupo sueco Hammerfall. Fué el primer disco del grupo, en el cual, la formación era: Joacim Cans (Voz), Oscar Dronjak (1ª Guitarra, Coros), Fredrik Larsson (Bajo, Coros) Glenn Ljujström (Guitarra) Patrik Räfling (Bateria)
La canción tiene una duración de 5:15 minutos y trata sobre un hombre que se despide de un amigo muertojoven, tratandolo como un "heroe", siendo la canción un canto de trisreza del hombre por el suceso.
Según el grupo, la canción es "un homenaje a los amigos que dejaron este mundo demasiado pronto". La canción está dedicada al abuelo de Joacim Cans (Klas Fors) que murió poco antes de la salida del discoDurante la mayoría de la canción, la voz de Cans es la parte mas importante, con un acompañamiento suave de guitarra, a excepción del estribillo, donde todos los instrumentos entran hasta el final de este y se vuelve a lo anterior. Destaca la ausencia de solos, para darle esa importancia al canto sobre todo lo demás
